Recital Hall/Studio C
The recital hall is located inside of the Hayes School of Music and is utilized primarily for student recitals and performances by Hayes School of Music chamber ensembles. The Hall is equipped with a sound and lighting booth, which can be utilized for both live recordings of performances as well as multi-track productions. This facility contains the Amek Media 51 40 channel analog console running to a Pro Tools 9 station. It is the primary location in which visually impaired students can learn to operate in a more tactile environment on a surface more appropriate and suited to their needs.
Funds generated from sessions for students, faculty and the general public help go towards the update, upkeep and general maintenance of the equipment and outboard processors necessary to maintain a high level recording facilty. A list of equipment is updated as frequently as possible and can be downloaded here (PDF). Any questions or concerns about particular listings or availability of different equipment can be directed to the Chief Recording Engineer, Mr. Scott Wynne.
