Studio B

Studio B is designed by the Wes Lachot Design Group and was completed in 2025.  The centerpiece of the facility is the 64 channel API Vision console capable of 5.1 mixing with 550L and 550B equalizers, forty 225L compressors, seven 235L gate/expanders, four 215 filters, and four 205L line Inputs.  While Sophomores in the program learn this facility in the Spring semester, the facility is used for a multitude of applications including tracking, electronic music production, MIDI and sampling work, pre-production, a recording space for A Studio, for video post-production, as well as a broadcast facility for our NDI and Dante enabled infrastructure. The studio is outfitted with ATC SCM100 LCR monitoring with SCS70 subwoofers and SCM50 surround monitors. With a multitude of preamp, compressor, equalizers, and stereo compressors as well as in studio effects processors and Dante enabled effects processors, Studio B control room has a vast amount of mixing and tracking capabilities.

The entire studio has tie lines running from room to room as well as mic lines and cue lines which all terminate at the patchbay in this main room allowing for a variety of options to be had for a session. The room has the capability of clocking to a variety of different sources including the Antelope Audio Trinity clocking system in the machine which allows Studio B to utilize the Antelope Audio Galaxy 64 for conversion as well as the Dante Infrastructure which enables students to have access to over $100,000 worth of studio effects in the Machine Room of the facility.
